Royal Gulf, the sole U.A.E. distributor of Italian airside equipment manufacturer, MEKAR, will be providing more than 4,000 fan coil units for Emaar Properties’ iconic structure ‘Burj Dubai’, which is likely to be the world’s tallest tower when completed. Specially customized double-skin fan coil units manufactured by MEKAR, Italy will facilitate the cooling of the different rooms within the mixed-use tower.
Commenting on Royal Gulf’s involvement in the project, its managing director Arun Tuli said, “Emaar is creating new global benchmarks for quality,
Royal Gulf provides cooling technology for Burj Dubai be it design, technology and products incorporated within its structure. Testing procedures are applied prior to supply of any equipment that is to be installed in world’s upcoming landmark. Emaar is using only high end products with top notch technology supplied by well known proven international brands. Being a part of this iconic structure means being a part of future history!”
Royal Gulf has already supplied MEKAR air handling units (A.H.U.) and fan coil units (F.C.U.) to the majority of the projects within the much touted ‘most prestigious square kilometer in the world’. These projects include the Dubai Mall, the Burj Dubai Lake Hotel, the Old Town and Emaar Business Park. “Royal Gulf’s almost sweeping contribution within this lavish, 500-acre, upcoming Downtown Burj Dubai District is an important milestone for the 15 year old company. Burj Tower adds the ultimate feather in our cap enhancing our distinct high end project reference list further.”
Arun Tuli has attributed Royal Gulf’s success in the air-conditioning industry to its quality products, timely delivery and its reliable service levels. Its products have passed stringent performance testing at independent laboratories in Europe and the results have testified their eminence.
Commented Tuli, “The air-conditioning of skyscrapers, public buildings, shopping malls and independent villas is a vital requirement due to the extremely hot and humid conditions which extends almost throughout the entire year. Choosing the appropriate chiller, AHU or FCU has become a very important consideration for international engineering consultants like Hyder, Ian Benham, Atkins and RMJM, in order to ensure reliable and adequate air-conditioning of the building. A breakdown or failure in the performance of these equipments can result in unwanted additional costs in replacements along with loss of reputation for the supplier, builder and the Consulting Engineers.”
