New luxury hotels in the making in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

A new luxury hotel is being built on the man-made island of Palm Jumeirah off the shore of Dubai.
The new hostelry boasts 213 rooms, 45 apartments and 45 residential units. The date for completion is given as 2009, a spokesman for the chain said in Munich.
Along with a beach club and spa, the new building will have a 200- metre long private beach along with six restaurants and lounges. From this vantage point the view extends to the 'Burj al Arab', the luxury all-suite hotel on the Dubai coastline which claims to be the world's only seven star place to stay.
The Jumeirah chain plans to open another project in the neighbouring emirate of Abu Dhabi a year later. Dubbed the 'Jumeirah Etihad Towers ', the building is located close to the Corniche coastal road in the emirate capital.
It is set to have 60 storeys with 400 rooms and 200 apartments. A spa, shopping boulevard and private beach are also part of the complex. The Jumeirah hotel group has its headquarters in Dubai and already runs six hotels in the Gulf region along with two more in London.
