IRC secures Dubai Quality Appreciation Program

International Rubber Company (IRC), a subsidiary of M’Sharie, the private equity arm of Dubai Investments, has recently received a Dubai Quality Appreciation Program Certification in the manufacturing sector from the Department of Economic Development in recognition of the company’s commitment to high performance and superior service in the Industrial Manufacturing industry.

The company, which currently supplies products to major developments in the UAE, Singapore, Qatar, England and Saudi Arabia, was recognised as a leading UAE business, based on its quality ethos and dedication to raising excellence standards. The award is modelled on the European Foundation for Quality Management and considers factors such as corporate leadership, service standards, policies, procedures and performance at various levels within a company.

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, presented the awards during a ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on Tuesday, March 13, 2007. Hashim Al Hashim, MD, S Dutt, Head - Technical; and Urfi Kidwai, Head - Commercial, accepted the award on behalf of IRC for the Dubai Quality Appreciation Program (DQAP) category.

IRC is a UAE-based company that produces and markets synthetic polymer rubber and plastic products specifically catering to the property development industry. The company, acquired by M’Sharie in early 2007, produces high quality weather strip and associated products including structural, container and automotive seals, moulded rubber items, plastic items and PVC water stops.

In addition to international projects, IRC has supplied products to many of the UAE’s premier property developments, including the Burj Dubai, Jumeirah Beach Resort and Dubai Festival City.
