Electron Solar Energy announced that Tibo Company LLC, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), will sell the company's solar energy systems through two branch offices and direct-to-consumer sales covering the entire UAE. Tibo markets Electron's line of batteries.

Quinn, chief executive officer of Electron. "Dubai is currently the fastest growing city on Earth. This construction boom is progressing at an unprecedented level of luxury and technological advancement. With that type of forward thinking in place, Dubai will be a hotspot for green building technology and alternative energy products for years to come."

According to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai's power consumption rose nearly 30 percent in 2006. Thomas George, president and chief electrical engineer at Tibo, calls Dubai a "very attractive market for solar energy systems. Since the UAE lies on the earth's Sunbelt, its angle of insulation is one of the highest in the world."
