  Dubai World Central signs first employment contracts with UAE nationals

Dubai World Central's human resource strategy unveiled at the Career UAE Fair attracted a large number of UAE nationals to seek employment at what will one day be the world's largest international airport and urban aviation community.


The 140 square kilometre urban aviation city in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Dubai World Central (DWC), signed the first employment contracts with nationals, who were convinced with the unique DWC value proposition. The signings were held at the seventh Career UAE Fair in Dubai World Trade Centre.

"After the unveiling of the Emirati-intensive DWC human resource strategy we found students, academicians and many of the existing national workforce fascinated by what Dubai World Central has to offer," said Hassan Hokal, Director of Human Resources, DWC.

"Key attractions were a secure future, excellent growth curve, 360 employee evaluation methods, an engaging work/life balance aimed at staff wellbeing, open and transparent work culture, a multinational and multicultural work force, world-class training programs and scholarships, a wide choice of industry sectors and international postings."

Hokal explained that DWC would be a market-leading employer as the urban aviation city spans diverse sectors such as aviation, logistics, real estate, engineering, IT, finance, marketing, HR, administration, commercial, science and technology, training and development.

Abdulla Al Falasi, Marketing and Corporate Communications Director for Dubai World Central said: "DWC is a visionary project of international stature and will provide jobs to nationals who are keen to fulfil global expectations and work with a local government project that has a worldwide appeal. This project will one day greatly impact regional and international aviation, logistics and supply chain industry."

Dubai World Central (DWC) is a 140 square kilometre urban aviation community centred around the world's largest international airport. Currently being built 40 kilometres from the existing Dubai International Airport the project is almost twice the size of Hong Kong Island.

DWC creates a new benchmark in urban planning and destination living designed to support Dubai's aviation, tourism, commercial and logistics requirements until 2050 and represents one of the most important developments in the history of the United Arab Emirates.
