Dubai Ladies Club hosts meeting for women journalists |

DUBAI — Shaikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Ladies Club and wife of Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, hosted a women's media gathering at the Dubai Ladies Club on Thursday.
Organised by Dubai Ladies Club, in association with Dubai Press Club, the event was attended by Mona Al Marri, Chairperson of Dubai Press Club and Vice-President of Dubai Ladies Club.
Over 100 women journalists from the print and broadcast media and UAE-based news agencies participated in the event that marked the holy month of Ramadan.
Addressing the gathering, Shaikha Manal said: “The women media gathering is an annual initiative by Dubai Ladies Club to build closer ties with the media fraternity. The media plays a crucial role in shaping our society, and I am happy to see the industry being represented by a large section of women. I am equally delighted to see a significant presence of Emarati women, who have established their presence in this field by virtue of their talent and the support of the government, the society and their families.” |
