The Dubai Creek Men’s Club Golf Championship will swing into action today and tomorrow.
The temperature will soar as the cream of the crop battle it out for the title, but unfortunately without last year's defending champion and the in-form Joel Neal who is off to compete in the MasterCard Junior Masters in Australia.
Therefore, the competition is now thrown wide open with Miki Mirza, Vikram Judge and Jay Varkey all looking to add to their previous victories.
Two other strong challengers this time should be Dino Varkey, looking for a maiden win, and also the vastly improved Humayan Shahriar.
Returning from overseas to mount what should be a considerable challenge from the junior section of the membership will be the talented trio of Andy Andrews, Bayhaan and Shezad Lakdawala.
The stage is set for another nail biting finish on tomorrow afternoon over the 17th and 18th holes, where the championship will no doubt be won or lost.
A worthy champion will undoubtedly prevail if he can pass through one of golf’s toughest finishing stretches unscathed.
The live leader board will be in action on Saturday afternoon. The public are welcome on the Lake view terrace to watch the championship from 2pm.
