Cerner, leading international supplier of healthcare information technology (HIT) solutions, has opened a new Dubai office to supplement its Solutions centre in Abu Dhabi as it continuities to expand its healthcare IT presence in the MENA region. The move comes as CERN seeks to strengthen relationships with key Middle Eastern clients and improve value chain integration with key regional suppliers and partners.

For instance, the UAE and Saudi governments sponsor up to 75 percent of all health sector investment in their respective countries, while 2007 figures indicate Lebanon allocating over 10 percent of GDP to expenditure in the sector.
