Al Multaqa Exhibition Organisers announced today that they have acquired the rights to organise the Ramadan & Eid Festivals held in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain from Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC). An agreement to this effect was recently signed between the two parties.

“This new agreement is in line with our strategy to encourage the private sector to play a prominent role in the development of the exhibition industry in the country. The agreement creates an opportunity to further enhance this event, which attracts participants from all over the region”, said H.E. Ahmad Humaid Al Mazrouie, Managing Director, ADNEC.

“The annual Ramadan & Eid Festivals enjoy significant participation from visitors who have the opportunity to shop and entertain themselves. The event enhances the reputation of Abu Dhabi and confirms its status as a prime destination for events, conferences and festivals”, he added.

Simon Horgan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), ADNEC noted that cooperating with the private sector provides a boost and enhances the possibilities of an event being successfully organised. “Cooperation reflects the government’s intention to facilitate interaction between the public and private sectors,” he said.

H.E. Khalifa Naseeb Al Humiari, Deputy Chairman of Al Multaqa commended the role played by H.E. Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of ADNEC, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) & Member of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, in facilitating the cooperation between the public and private sectors. “H.E. Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan’s involvement will further the development of Abu Dhabi in particular and the UAE in general, to create a better environment for the exhibition industry and enhance the reputation of Abu Dhabi and the UAE as an ideal location for the development of diverse businesses.”

Tareq Amir, General Manager, Al Multaqa Exhibitions Organisers, said, “We are glad to have this opportunity to organise the forthcoming Ramadan & Eid Festivals. The arrangements for these events have already commenced and potential exhibitors are being contacted. The UAE pavilion will be the biggest since the first edition of the festival was launched in 1999.”
