Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) yesterday warned motorists to expect heavy traffic at the 2nd Zabeel Road in the next 10 days.
Yousuf Al Ali, director of the RTA Maintenance Department, said they have started excavating portions of the road where they will lay asphalt between the World Trade Centre and the Oud Metha Roundabout.
Portions of the road affected by the ongoing repair work will be closed to traffic, he said.
Work is expected to be completed on August 5.
"The maintenance work is in line with the RTA's vision to ensure safe and smooth driving and to have safety standards at the road network," Ali said.
Motorists are advised to avoid passing through the area by taking other routes. |
