FileNet supplies effective content management solutions to growing number of global companies |

 FileNet Corporation, the leading provider of Enterprise Content and Business Process Management solutions, has announced that it has been selected to supply content management solutions to Eurocopter, the world’s number one supplier of civil helicopters. Eurocopter will standardise on FileNet content management technologies in a bid to increase global efficiency and standardise systems and streamline processes.
FileNet will provide Eurocopter with FileNet Content Manager, Business Process Manager and Email Manager on the unified FileNet P8 platform in order to improve on the way in which Eurocopter archives, tracks and accesses content across multiple geographies and multiple business processes.
Manfred Seiler, Senior Manager, IT-Projects and Applications, Eurocopter said: “Up to now we were using a range of in-house and different vendor applications for documentation management and we had no future-orientated group strategy. The applications were based on different technologies, many of which were fast becoming obsolete, and not fulfilling security requirements.”
“The cost of ownership for each application was also increasing. Tracking content across multiple repositories was slow and prone to errors. FileNet is providing us with a future-proof solution that will enable us to improve efficiency, reduce response times and increase data quality based on globalised security rules,” he pointed out.
The FileNet solution will be adopted step-by-step across all parts of Eurocopter’s business from product design and manufacturing to customer support. It will initially be used to ensure compliance with contract management, procedures and guidelines and to enable the effective management of software support documents.
