Dubai Balloon Festival on the move and getting there |

 As part of the official announcement of Dubai Balloon Festival (DBF), which was announced in Dubai on Thursday, 4th May, under the patronage of HH Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, organisers Al Ahli Group and ETA-ASCON have specified that all preparations have been going along smoothly being in constant coordination with the Dubai Shopping Festival organizers and Dubai Civil Aviation Authorities.
DBF organizers have also specified that many companies have shown great interest in the event and want to be a part of the festival. They said major companies have confirmed their participation in sponsoring and branding the limited 100 hot air balloons.
Companies are sponsoring the event with various packages offered such as the Platinum, Gold or Silver along with balloon branding.
According to Mr. Mohamed Khammas, CEO of DBF, the festival is going to be an official event for Dubai Shopping Festival and will mark the start of DSF 2006 on 21st of December until the 30th of December, 2006 at Dubai Outlet City in Dubailand over two weekends.
'HH Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has been an inspiring influence in carrying on HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision for tourism development through this event. His blessing on the project and hands on knowledge quest enhance the event's capacity for reaching the success and exposure it has today.

Dubai land, with the efforts of Mr. Salem Bin Dasmal and his team, in welcoming this unique event to the world's largest family leisure destination gave us the last and important piece of the equation to merge this event into a world class development, and we thank them for their striving efforts to be the best and help us reach common successful grounds.' Mr. Mohamed said.
Slated to become an annual event for the next ten years, the DBF will reciprocate similar international feel, with the participation of over 100 balloons from across the world. In addition, there will be family entertainment, contests, events for the public, photo contests, music, food and beverage outlets, and other delightful events for families and youngsters to enjoy.
Organising the event will be a team of professionals from the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Inc., Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.
The event will unite balloon enthusiasts from across the world, including the launch of this exciting festival in this part of the world. The official site for the festival will be the Dubai Outlet City (DOC) in Dubailand.
