Fashion designer Manish Malhotra opens store in Dubai |

 ndia's leading fashion designer Manish Malhotra has opened his flagship store in Dubai.
Celebrity guests and eminent Bollywood stars, including Urmila Matondkar, Kareena Kapoor and Tushar Kapoor, and renowned tarot card reader and astrologer Sunita Menon were present on the ocassion.
More than half of the clothes at the store will be Mumbai-made traditional wear, while the rest will consist of new designs catering to Arab and Western customers.
Malhotra has teamed up with Saif Belhasa Group of Companies, who will be the franchisers for the store, not only in Dubai but also in the rest of the GCC countries where similar stores are scheduled to open.
"Dubai was an obvious choice for me when I was planning on opening my first flagship store. Dubai is a prefect blend of traditional values and modernity, which in more ways than one reflect the essence of my designs," he said
The store will cater to a diverse audience, particularly the fashion-conscious Arab community who can choose from a range of specially designed shelas, abhayas and jalabiyas. My latest diffusion collection that is modern, minimalist and grand will also appeal to Dubai's cosmopolitan environment, he said.
Sarah Rashid, Vice Chairman, Saif Belhasa Group, said, "having acquired the exclusive franchise rights, we look forward to extending him our total support to help him explore the lucrative markets of the Middle East."
Malhotra has been successfully retailing across the Indian cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
