5th consecutive Business Traveller M.E. Award for Dubai Duty Free |

 Dubai Duty Free, which announced a 12% increase in sales in the first quarter, came out tops in the reader's survey conducted by the magazine within the category 'Best Airport for Duty Free Shopping'. The awards ceremony, which brought together leading executives from the travel and tourism industry, was held at the Jumeirah Mina a' Salam hotel and the award was accepted by Salah Tahlak, Director Corporate Communications & DTC, Dubai Duty Free.
Commenting on this latest award, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Department of Civil Aviation, Dubai and Chairman of Emirates Group said:
'Those who vote in the Business Traveller Middle East awards are frequent travellers who have high expectations when it comes to service and quality. Therefore their continued vote of support is particularly rewarding.'
Colm McLoughlin, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free added, 'We are delighted to accept this honour for the fifth year running, and on behalf of the President of the Department of Civil Aviation and all of the employees of Dubai Duty Free, I would like to extend my thanks to the readers of Business Traveller Middle East for once again casting their vote.'
Last September, Dubai Duty Free won the Business Traveller UK award in the same category, underlining the international reputation of the airport retailer which is currently ranked No. 3 in the world in terms of turnover.
