Drake & Scull International bags AED 26 million contract for Amarante El Nile Hotel project in Egyptian capital |

 Drake & Scull International (DSI), the leading mechanical and electrical engineering contracting company in the region, has bagged a 15 month-long contract worth AED 26.63 million (LE 41.75 million) to install electromechanical works for the luxury Amarante El Nile Hotel project on the banks of the Nile in Central Cairo.
Drake & Scull International’s contract with Amarante El Nile Company consolidates its presence in Egypt where the company was earlier involved in building the Smart Village, the country’s prestigious 450-acre high-tech, IT and telecommunications hub located in proximity to the Pyramids in Cairo.
Khaldoun Al Tabari, Executive Director of DSI said: “The Amarante El Nile Hotel project marks the expansion of DSI’s operations in the pan Arab world and is in line with our plans for becoming the region’s most-preferred provider of world-class engineering services.”
“Our next projects will take DSI to Qatar and other countries in the region, helping us to further boost our presence in the Middle East and North Africa region. DSI is committed to utilising the expertise it is known for, towards completing the Amarante El Nile Hotel project within the stipulated period and in compliance with stringent international standards,” Al Tabari added.
Drake & Scull International is a leading provider of quality engineering services in the Middle East since its inception in 1964. In Dubai, it has installed highly specialised and customised facilities for the Emirates Aviation Centre, Dubai Free Zone, American Hospital and the Dubai Police Headquarters building among others.
The company is due to deliver the AED 31 million Accident, Emergency and Trauma Centre project at Dubai’s premier Rashid Hospital in May 2006 and is engaged in setting up a 60,000 tonne chilled water plant and distribution system for 54 tower blocks at Jumeirah Beach Residence. Its extensive regional operations are spread across the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan and Egypt.
