Metropolis Health to branch out to Dubai |

Chennai: Metropolis Health Services India Pvt Ltd, a corporate chain of diagnostic centres providing healthcare services, is planning to start its operations in Dubai and Bahrain this year.

He said that the company is also eyeing Africa and South East Asia for its expansion plans. The turnover of the company for 2005 was about Rs 65 to 70 crore and is expected to touch Rs 150 crore next year, he said. | Go to Sify Business Home page |
The company also plans to increase its headcount to more than 2,000 from existing 1,200. Metropolis is also implementing next generation software such as LIMS (Library Information Management System) and SAP, Velu said, adding the implementation of the software has cost about $1 million.
PriceWaterhouse Coopers would implement LIMS to network all the labs into a centralised architecture at Mumbai, which is expected by September 2006, he said.
He said both SAP and LIMS would be integrated into one to achieve faster turnaround time. This would help position the company as an international chain and prove useful for clinical trial testing, he added.
