Maybank wins two Islamic finance awards in Dubai |

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) group clinched two major awards at the second “Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Islamic Finance Awards” in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) last week.
The awards were presented at the International Islamic Finance Forum (IIFF).
Maybank scored for its “Contribution to Islamic Retail Development” together with Dubai Islamic Bank, while its Investment Banking Group received an award for “Regional Continuing Contribution to Islamic Finance R&D (Asia).
Unicorn Investment Bank, meanwhile, won two awards for excellence and vision in Islamic finance .
The IIFF is an annual event under the patronage of the ruler of Dubai, prime minister and deputy president of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Al Maktoum. – Bernama
