Maraahel is 8-1 for the Dubai World Cup with Coral and 10-1 with Ladbrokes after he was left in Saturday's feature event as well as the Dubai Sheema Classic at Nad Al Sheba.
Should he go for the
$6million Group One race over a mile and a quarter on dirt, he will take on Electrocutionist.
The former Italian-trained star, now with Godolphin, had Maraahel back in third when winning the Juddmonte International at York last summer and is as low as 10-11 with Ladbrokes for World Cup glory.
"Maraahel improved all through last season and if he acts on the dirt then 8-1 will look a huge price," said Coral spokesman Simon Clare.
Maraahel, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, is also among 15 entered for the 5million Sheema Classic on turf, in which Alan Swinbank's Collier Hill bids to improve on his third place 12 months ago.
Other notable hopefuls include Ed Dunlop's Ouija Board, John Oxx's Alayan, David Elsworth's Norse Dancer and Jim Bolger's Alexander Goldrun.
Also worth
5million and run on grass is the Group One Dubai Duty Free which has attracted 11 Group One winners including Brian Meehan's David Junior and Godolphin's Valixir.
Dubai World Cup betting:
Coral: 11-10 Electrocutionist, 5-1 Kane Hekili, Brass Hat, 6-1 Super Frolic, 8-1 Maraahel, 11-1 Magna Graduate, 12-1 Simpatico Bribon, 14-1 bar.
Ladbrokes: 10-11 Electrocutionist, 9-2 Kane Hekili, 5-1 Brass Hat, 9-1 Super Frolic, 10-1 Maraahel, 12-1 Choctaw Nation, Magna Graduate, 33-1 bar.
