First Gulf childhood conference to be held in Dubai |

Dubai, Mar. 17 (BNA) Under the auspices of Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum Wife of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai, The First Gulf Childhood Conference will be held under the motto "Childhood is a Joint Responsibility".
Preparations have been completed for the event which will continue form March 19th till 21st March. GCC Secretary General and Honorary Chairman of the conference Abdurrahman bin Hamad Al Attiya is due to arrive in Dubai Friday. CEO of Latifa bint Mohammed Award For Childhood Creativity Ameena Al Dabbous said the main objective of the conference was to help provide practical solutions to various social, cultural and health issues of concern to youngsters in the Gulf countries. The strategic objectives of the conference, Al Dabbous remarked, include protecting society through proper religious and behavioral orientation in order to promote child creativity and self-confidence, defining hindrances and suggesting proper practical solutions and protective measures, working towards setting and providing public media programs that encourage creativity and analytical thinking. The conference also aims to defining and determine the environmental effects of economic change on the Gulf societies, exploring ways to providing help and assistance to children of juvenile institutions to help them to positively contribute to society, she added.
