  3/14/2006 9:06:23 AM

The Emirates Nationals Development Program (ENDP) announced that they have signed an agreement with the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the organizers of Careers UAE 2006 Exhibition.
The aim of this agreement is to enhance the level of cooperation between the program and the exhibition while at the same time supporting the policies and plans of Emiratisation in the country.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Ahmed bin Humaidan, Project Manager of ENDP and Asma Al Sharif, International Projects Manager, DWTC.

Under the agreement the ENDP will participate in supporting the Careers UAE 2006 by contributing in different workshops and seminars that will occur during the exhibition period. ENDP will also promote the exhibition through their events and visits of the managerial team to different establishments and companies of the private sector.

'The agreement comes as an initiative to enhance our strategic mission of supporting and encouraging the employment of UAE national youth in the private sector companies,' said Ahmed bin Humaidan. 'This will be done through providing training opportunities with the objective of preparing UAE nationals for the job market and enabling them to be more competitive in the work force, as one of the main requirements of the job market are skills and experience.'

Humaidan added,

'The Career Exhibition is considered to be one of the most important national events that contribute in supporting the Emiratisation in the country. This is done through developing the relationship between the nationals and the prospective employers, helping them to acquire necessary skills and facilitating the interaction and exchange of ideas. The event also provides an ideal opportunity not only for job hunters, but also for companies that are seeking to augment their human resources.'

Stressing the importance of this partnership, Asma Al Sharif said, 'This agreement is an expression of the common objectives of the ENDP and the Careers UAE exhibition. The objective is to contribute in the development of national human resources and to support the Emiratisation efforts to reach the required quote in the job market and the private sector.'

She added, 'The Careers UAE Exhibition provides the ideal opportunity for the training centers as well as participating companies which mount up to more than 100 exhibitors to meet a large number of visitors who would like to know about the training and job opportunities available in the local market. The exhibition will also provide a special opportunity for ENDP to promote the program's goals and objectives.

The Careers UAE 2006 will be held from 23rd -25th April at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The Dubai World Trade Centre is organizing the event in cooperation with Tanmia, Emirates Nations Development Program, Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University, and Emirates University.
