3rd round of IRB rugby 7s series underway in Wellington |

The third round of the IRB international rugby sevens series began in Wellington today. Teams from 16 countries are taking part.
The opening game was between South Africa and Tonga. South Africa won, 34 - 14.
New Zealand won their opening match in Pool C, beating Kenya 28-5. New Zealand next play the Cook Islands and then Samoa.
The home side is in 6th place overall in the international series to date; after exiting the earlier rounds in Dubai and South Africa in the quarter-finals at each event.
Fiji and England are tipped as the favourites for this round. England beat Papua New Guinea 64 - 0 this afternoon.
The event concludes at the Westpac Stadium tomorrow night.
The fourth round is in Los Angeles. Further rounds will be played in Hong Kong, Singapore and Paris before concluding in London in June.
