Environment Minister Attends Meeting In Dubai |

Dubai, 07/02 - Angola`s Urbanisation and Environment minister, Sita Jose, is attending since Tuesday the ninth special session of the Administration Council of the United Nation Program for Environment (UNPE), taking place in Dubai.
The meeting will discuss matters related with energy and environment, environment and tourism and management of chemical products, as well as the state of the environment in the world, its evaluation and monitoring.
Other themes included are the international environmental management and UNPE contribution to the coming summit on sustainable development.
Angola is participating in the gathering with a delegation integrated by the Angola representative to UNEP, Brito sozinho, the National Director of environment, Carlos Santos, as well as by high ranking officials of the Angolan Foreign Affairs Ministry and embassy to Tanzania.
According to Mr. Sita Jose, Angola will participate from this year in the taking of decisions on matters related to environment, at world level, after being recently admitted as member of the UNPE`s Administration Council.
Meanwhile, the special session was preceded by an international conference on management of chemical products that started Saturday and ended on Monday.
