DTCM sponsors media centre at Dubai Desert Classic |

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) sponsored the media centre for the 17th edition of the Dubai Desert Classic that got underway at the Emirates Golf Club from February 2.
The DTCM-sponsored media centre that is equipped with Internet and other modes of modern communication helped journalists in their live coverage of one of Dubai's most prestigious sporting events.
Around 77 journalists from UK, France, Holland, Denmark, Hong Kong, US India, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, France and Germany made use of the communication facilities that were made available at the DTCM-sponsored media centre at Dubai Desert Classic.
The golf tournament that has witnessed the convergence of the world's best golfers and journalists concluded on February 5.
Promotional literature and journals about Dubai, its hotels, transport and tourism opportunities are also being distributed to the media by DTCM staff at the media centre.
Mr. Marwan bin Beyat, DTCM Manager, Events said : "DTCM has been promoting the Dubai Desert Classic through different overseas programmes, exhibitions, conferences and roadshows."
The Dubai Desert Classic has now become a permanent feature in the sporting calendar of Dubai attracting the top golfers from the world over. The success of the event can be attributed to the excellent sporting facilities and infrastructure that Dubai offers to the international golfers and members of the media.
