Dubai Creek Junior Open to take place on March 2 |

DUBAI — Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club have announces that the Dubai Creek Junior Open will be sponsored by Yellow Pages.
The event will take place on March 2 and is expected to attract the cream of UAE junior golfers. Following on from the Daily Telegraph Junior Championships last October, it will be the second chance this season for the juniors of Dubai to take part in a prestigious event on the Dubai Creek course.
“Yellow Pages have been a constant supporter of junior golf in Dubai and we are delighted to have their support for our Junior Open,” commented Shona McRae, Golf Administration and Services Manager at Dubai Creek. “The event is open to both boys and girls and should be a great day for all that enter.”
The tournament is also a UGA Order of Merit event and is expected to attract a strong field. Favourite to do well is Joel Neale who will have the advantage playing his home club. He will face tough competition however from fellow club members, Ahmed Al Mosharrekh and Biren Dey, who are both having a great season this year.
Other major contenders will be Matthew Turner from Emirates Golf Club and Callum Mills from Arabian Ranches who will also be looking to claim the trophy.
The closing date for entries is February 23 and entry forms may be obtained from Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club by calling 04 2956000.
