Dubai shows the way for global village |

NEW DELHI: A global village will be set up in the Capital as an annual exposition for showcasing art, craft and culture of the world.
The village will be set up over 40 acres of land near DND flyway. About 20 acres of land will be set aside for parking facility.
A Dubai-based company, which is responsible for organising India's pavilion in Dubai exposition, has entered into an MoU with Delhi Tourism and Noida Toll Bridge Company Ltd (NTBCL) for setting up a month-long global village.
The village will have products display, ethnic handicrafts, marketing of household products, merchandising of gift items, street performers from around the globe and food court offering international cuisine.
Delhi tourism minister Arvinder Singh Lovely said: "We will hold a festival every year in this global village. This year, we will start on September 30.
People will have to pay an entry fee. It will be an all-night bazaar." The entry will open at 5 pm and festivities will continue till late in the night.
