DUBAI: Jafza and Business Parks Management has announced the setting up of Dubai Auto Zone as the future primary market place for the auto industry. The zone, located in Ruwaya on the Dubai Bypass Road, aims to satisfy the region's growing demand for auto businesses.
The multi-billion dirhams project, which is due to be completed by the end of 2007, will facilitate business for traders, light manufacturers, service providers, and others in the automotive and machinery industry.
Salma Hareb, the CEO of Jafza & Business Parks, said: "The introduction of DAZ will extend Dubai's vision as the centre of tourism, business and finance and now as a centre of an auto industry marketplace, which will cater to buyers, sellers, service providers, principles and traders alike."
Hareb adds: "We have followed a customer centric approach in the development of DAZ. The facilities we are developing would aim to improve end-users' experience."
Dubai Auto Zone will consist of a free zone to attract foreign direct investment, a specialised economic zone to cater to the GCC market, and a retail zone to serve the local market. In addition to hi gh quality customer service, Dubai Auto Zone will provide its partners with state-of-the-art facilities including advanced telecommunication system, high capacity power supplies, integrated road network, waste treatment plant and various service facilities.
The master plan for Dubai Auto Zone will be ready by the third quarter of this year, and from that date the plots will be allocated to those registered in the zone.
