DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (UPI) -- Airbus SA is boosting its presence in the Middle East by establishing a Dubai-based subsidiary.
Known as Airbus Middle East, it will be headquartered at the Dubai Airport Free Zone and run all commercial activities, including marketing, sales, contracts and customer relations, for the European aerospace giant, MENA said Tuesday.
AME will cover Gulf Cooperation Council nations, plus Yemen, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Airbus has established similar subsidiaries in the United States, China and Japan.
