Dubai Cultural Council is work on developing and nurturing could go through the coordinating with cultural centers and creating the ways of delivering arts and culture.

Dubai Cultural Council aims to provide impetus to the cultural, literary, and other creative activities in the Emirate. With its formation, the council has opened the doors for the private sector to enter into partnership for projects to further develop cultural activities in Dubai.

As the Emirate continues to grow commercially, the council works as a facilitator to enhance the growth of culture and the arts. Ultimately, the council aims to promote Dubai as a cultural destination by preserving the local culture and hosting cultural performances of artists from different parts of the world.

Dubai Cultural Council also work to attract the local society into arts and culture and encourage it to participate in supporting the cultural activities by attending and watching those activities. The kind of support from the Dubai Cultural Council to the cultural centers does not stop at the role of coordinating only. This also includes helping develop their cultural infrastructure, sponsoring cultural activities and organizing specialized courses and sessions in the arts and culture.

It also supports the private sector to participate in the cultural development by supporting the production in theater, drama, music, fine arts, cinema and other forms of artistic expressions. Dubai Cultural Council will focus the media on the cultural activities in the UAE in general and in Dubai in particular.

There are numerous cultural and artistic activities in the Emirate of Dubai. Such activities are practiced in several private, domestic and government institutions. The cultural activities in the UAE in general and in Dubai in particular, are rich and versatile extending services that suit various tastes. Such activities also aim at preserving and developing national culture and opening doors for all other world cultures.

Theatre, Cinema and Music
Theatre activity in UAE is started after December, 1971 and it get benefits from famous Arab directors like Zaki Tulaimat, Al Munsif Al Suweisi, Saqer Al Rushoud, Jawad Al Assadi, Abdul Illah Abdul Qader and others.

Theatres continue to develop new talent appearing in acting, production and play writing. A number of UAE distinguished theatric works have won awards in local, regional and Arab theatric festivals.

Theatrice activities in Dubai are mainly found in three theatres, The National Youth Arts Theatre, Dubai Popular Arts Theatre and Dubai Al Ahli Theatre.
