Dubai City of Gold Conference 2007

The 5th edition of the annual Dubai City of Gold Conference will focus on the opportunities and challenges facing the global gold jewellery industry. Eminent speakers from around the world, covering the entire gamut of the industry including diamond, gold and pearl jewellery, bullion, refining and mining, are to converge in Dubai for the leading two day international conference.

The Gold conference will discuss the following on first day Industry Overview and Finance, Supply & Demand: Dow we have a resource crunch? A future perspective,
Retail, Markets, E-Commerce & Research: A Global Perspective and on second day it lays emphasis on MARKETING- (Market Experts, Brands, Education & Marketing bodies) and panel discussion.

The panel discussion for the day will establish the necessity of a unified global jewellery marketing body for the industry. The findings of a recent global survey titled “Global Gems & Jewellery Report“ is a potential debate point. Outcome of this discussion is expected to provide solutions to a long standing debate on this subject, which has been the core objective of the panel discussion since the first conference.

This event will be inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President Department of Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates in association with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) and Standard Bank as presenting sponsor.
