Dubai Press Club reviews Media Forum session

Dubai Press Club held a meeting on Tuesday to evaluate the results of the tenth session of the Arab Media Forum held on May 17 and 18 in Dubai under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The meeting addressed the impact of the Arab Media Forum and Arab Journalism Award on the media scene regionally and internationally, as well as the position of the event as a platform for positive and constructive interaction between various media outlets, reported 'Al Khaleej' newspaper.
Ahmed Abdullah Al Sheikh, Director-General of the Information Office of the Government of Dubai, expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed for his patronage of the event.
Abdullah Al Sheikh stressed that the support shown by Sheikh Mohammed is the main reason behind their success, and the surest guarantee of the path of excellence to the most prominent media forum in the Middle East.
He praised the high count of participants at the forum which celebrated its tenth year. About 3,000 people, from elite media leaders, writers, thinkers and opinion-makers in the region and the world, took part.
He emphasised that the rich diversity in the content of the agenda of the forum helped focus on the most important issues. He wished members of the Dubai Press Club greater success in their mission, and said preparation for the next session must begin now.
Meanwhile, Maryam bin Fahad, Executive Director of Dubai Press Club expressed the commitment of the club in preserving its position as the most important event on the regional information map.
